This so-called primary season
~E~
I started this democratic primary season excited that there were so many really great candidates to choose from. That doesn't happen very often and with the way things are going with the current administration, we do need a change. To put it mildly.
My first choice withdrew, leaving Obama and Clinton. These were two people I could still get behind. I admired them both, had a few small reservations about each of them, but no candidate is perfect. At least this year I had a choice between two I liked, not choosing the lesser of two nasty bottom-dwelling somewhat lifelike beings.
A woman and a black man running for the presidency, and having a real shot at it is something I wasn't sure I would ever see in my lifetime. Going to the polls and casting my vote brought tears to my eyes. Either way, what an historic moment! (I've voted in every election since I was 18)
Sadly, now I'm well on my way to not really caring at all. Something else I never thought I'd see in my lifetime. The hateful misogyny that is EVERYWHERE against Clinton disgusts me. Obama's supporters take great delight in it, which frankly turns my stomach, and he hasn't made any statements showing that he disapproves of such behavior from his supporters or from the media in general.
Clinton, all I can say is what is she thinking?? Her campaign is bizarre. I don't see her doing half the things she is accused of, but what she is doing is very strange. She seems to have entirely lost her political sense. There is some racism coming from that side; she appears to have made up stories about things she's done (Obama as well), although anti-Clintonites are twisting other things that she has said and done into lies.
Thanks, main-stream media. Thanks, woman haters. Thanks, racists. You've all turned what could have been an awesome informative historic time in our lives into shit. Thanks.

And now a bunch of Hillary supporters, so embittered by the battle, they've started supporting McCain? What the hell!?!?!?
I'm trying to find my faith in America, and this isn't helping.
