Where was Mr. Rogers coming from at the beginning of the show? And where was he going when he left at the end?

I always thought he was coming home for lunch, but I just read somewhere that the house isn't his, it is supposed to be a "TV" home where his TV kid friends can visit him.

Hm. I think that's a bit too deep for your average 4 year old.

I loved it too - if I was watching it, it usually meant summer or staying home from school on a sick day.

Although I hated his puppet kingdom. It seemed so fake and overdone to me. The trolley was the coolest though.

Good news

~E~ Remember a post or two ago where I described the crazy overtime weekend trying to get green card applications in before the deadline? And how the government backed out and declared that they wouldn't accept any of the applications? Apparently there has been so much pressure from so many directions that they backed off from THAT decision and accepted everything they had received, and will accept all applications until August 17. GREAT news for all those folks! It makes more work for me, but I'd rather be busy than not. My team also received an award at our company-wide meeting for all of our hard work. We are now SUPASTAH s!! You may kiss my ring.

Yarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

~E~ Pirate pants complete! I'm sewing and I'm happy! I'm working on pirate costumes for myself and for Daughter for Halloween and I'm on fire . I'm not a super seamstress, but I can get the job done if the instructions are clear. My methods might be laughed at by a professional but I enjoy what I do and I've made some pretty awesome things, I have to say. Ichiban Son got a kick-ass Green Power Ranger costume for kindergarten that took me probably 60 hours to make but it was totally worth it - I impressed myself and everyone else who saw it. Daughter got a harem costume one year, and a gypsy/pirate queen costume the next. Another of my favorites is a kilt I made from red bandannas; it was for a party with a scottish/cowby theme. I went online to look at kilt patterns and then just made it up as I went along. It was awesome, the pleats were f*ing amazing, but no one else was as excited about it as I was. haha. They sucked.
